About Dr. Suganya Venkat
Dr. Suganya Venkat is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 15 years of experience in women's health. She is the founder of Fertilia and Menolia, and has a special interest in hormonal health, perimenopause, and menopause care.
She completed her MBBS at Sri Ramachandra Medical College (SRMC), where she was a consistent academic topper and a five-time gold medalist. She then pursued her MD in Pathology from the prestigious Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore. Her training in pathology shaped her approach to medicine, focusing on understanding diseases at a cellular and metabolic level rather than treating symptoms alone.
Driven by a strong interest in clinical women's health, she later went on to complete her DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at GKNM Hospital, Coimbatore, allowing her to combine deep scientific understanding of disease with direct clinical care for women.
Over the years, Dr. Suganya developed a deep interest in hormonal conditions affecting women across different life stages. Through her clinical practice, she observed that many women entering their late 30s and 40s began experiencing symptoms such as irregular cycles, mood changes, sleep disturbances, weight gain, and hot flashes, often without clear guidance or support.
She also noticed that perimenopause and menopause were frequently under-recognised and under-discussed, leaving many women to manage these changes on their own.
This led her to focus on a more holistic and root-cause approach to midlife women's health, looking at the role of hormones, metabolism, sleep, stress, nutrition, and lifestyle in shaping how women experience perimenopause and menopause.
To address this gap in care, she founded Menolia, a doctor-led program designed to support women through perimenopause and menopause with personalised, evidence-based guidance.
Through her work, Dr. Suganya aims to help women better understand their bodies, manage symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, sleep disturbances, and weight changes, and navigate this stage of life with confidence and clarity.
She remains deeply committed to helping women make informed health decisions, avoid unnecessary treatments, and restore balance through science-backed, holistic care.
